The Power House and Steam Plant buildings, Seattle’s first public utility buildings, were built throughout the 1910’s and achieved landmark status in 1987. They remain a symbol of municipal power and industry.
The building’s new owners were looking for ways to honor the historic nature of the South Lake Union Neighborhood while showcasing their forward-thinking brand. SparkLab was engaged to study creative ways to activate the buildings for passers-by both nearby and across the lake.
