This newly constructed 12,000-square-foot library in Sedro-Woolley features an open are for collections, an early learning and senior space, along with flexible areas for group educational programming.
Augmenting ample natural daylight, a central linear fixture connects the length of the space: collections area to the west with the flexible classroom space to the east. Imperceptible to the user, the optics change along the length of the central fixture to respond to changing optical requirements. Indirect light from this fixture is augmented by a cove light on one side, and pendant fixtures in the children’s area. The collections area is further defined by slim, integrated casework lighting.
