A new events pavilion and restroom building were needed to support increased use of this waterfront park in Tacoma.
Lighting calculations were performed ensure appropriate light levels for a variety of uses. Uplights at the interior wall provides visual balance in the space while the central pendant fixtures highlight the wood ceiling and create a lantern-like glow as viewed from the building’s exterior.
A large-scale sign with regressed lettering is grazed from above, improving the legibility of the “Owen Beach” text at night.
